  11. 1. Setting up KLAUNCH
  12. UNZIP the KLAUNCH files into a temporary directory, and run the 
  13. INSTALL.EXE program contained therein. You'll be prompted for a 
  14. directory in which to install KLAUNCH. There may be a single 
  15. break in the install during which you'll be told that the 
  16. CTL3DV2.DLL file is in use and cannot be updated. Clicking the 
  17. "Ignore" button here should do the trick. You'll also be asked 
  18. which Program Manager group to place KLAUNCH in. I recommend 
  19. either Accessories or Startup, depending on whether or not 
  20. you'd like KLAUNCH running all of the time. This README file is 
  21. then displayed, and the installation is complete! Just click on 
  22. the KLAUNCH icon to start things going, and when you get a chance, 
  23. delete the temporary directory and files.

  26. 2. Known compatibility problems
  27. ATI MACH32 - On one machine tested, there was a protection 
  28. fault in the video driver upon leaving Windows while KLAUNCH 
  29. was running. Switching to regular VGA drivers eliminated the 
  30. problem. This matter is still under investigation.

  32. REPLACEMENT SHELLS - At the present time, KLAUNCH will only 
  33. operate properly when PROGMAN is the Windows shell program. 
  34. Norton Desktop for Windows and Dashboard are possible shell 
  35. replacements with which future versions of KLAUNCH will be 
  36. compatible.
